Prepare Lord Ganesha’s Favourite Modak At Home

Rice flour, jaggery, fresh Nariyal, ghee, salt, and crushed cardamom.

 

Step by step guide to preparing authentic Modak recipe at home-

  • Step 1 – Grate half Nariyal and add ghee 100 grams,  and two cup jaggery together in a frying pan and cook them until the recipe becomes slightly brown.
  • Step 2 – Cook it and let the moisture evaporate. Let the mixture turn golden brown in color and remove it from the flame. add green cardamom powder and keep it aside.
  • Step 3 – Take another pan and add 2 glasses of water, one tablespoon salt and mix it very well. Now boil the water and add rice flour in the same.
  • Step 4 – Make sure that there are no lumps formed while you prepare the recipe. The mixture is going to remain dry. cover it up and cook for around 3 minutes
  • Step 5 – Now heat some water and make sure that it is lukewarm. Add little by little water in the rice flour and convert it into a dough.
  • Step 6 – Now create a small bowl using the rice flour dough and add pleates in that.
  • Step 7 – Now take 1 tablespoon of grated coconut preparation and put it in the rice flour bowl. close the bowl by creating a pointed structure like modak.
