How To Prepare Crispy Poha Balls Recipe At Home?

If you have some poha at one and do not have a clue how to consume it. This monsoon weather is a perfect time to prepare Crispy Poha Balls out of it. The crunchy recipe is going to make you a big fan of it. It has a very happening taste and a unique flavor.


Instead of using Maida or any harmful ingredient to make the potato balls crispy. Simply using some soaked poha would do the needful.

 

Step by step guide to preparing Crispy Poha Balls at home –

  • Step 1 – soak 2 cups of poha and in room temperature water for around 5 minutes.
  • Step 2 – Now remove the excess water and let it sit for around 10 minutes.
  • Step 3 – Prepare a dough by mashing it very well. Make sure that you do not add any water while preparing the dough. Add half tbsp amchur powder, half tablespoon red chili powder, 1 tbsp fresh coriander powder, fresh coriander leaves.
  • Step 4 – Then add 1 inch finely chopped ginger, 2 green chilies, salt, and 2 mashed potatoes. mix everything very well and prepare round balls.
  • Step 5 – Now take oil in a deep frying pan and let it heat. Eventually, add the prepared poha balls in the hot oil and fry until they turn golden brown in color. Make sure that you gradually put the balls one by one so that they do not splutter the oil on you.
  • Step 6 – Enjoy the crispy very potato balls prepared out of Poha with fresh green chutney and hot tea.

 

In case you do not have poha at home, you can also use some cooked rice to prepare the crispy potato balls at home. In order to do the needful, simply add some cooked rice in the recipe. Use two cups of cooked rice instead of using soaked poha.

The recipe is very easy but it is not meant for health-conscious individuals as there is a lot of oil consumption in this. also, make sure that you use refined oil in order to prepare the recipe as mustard oil can create a foul smell.

The crispy poha balls have a very good taste if you prepare them well. You can also add more ingredients like grated veggies, Oregano, and natural herbs in order to give it a better flavor.
